Is Brighton a good place to do business?

Richard Simmons, partner at our Brighton office, says:

"It very much depends on what sector you're in and how the British weather is behaving.

"We conducted a poll of local retail businesses and found that high rates, extortionate parking charges, poor roads and the lack of a decent shopping centre to rival nearby towns, were the things they found most frustrating about Brighton.

"Many local business owners blame the local council for squandering opportunities to help them and feel that it is pulling in more money than ever through rates and parking fines but is failing to invest it back into the community.
